Give Your Jars An Update Using Balloons!

Balloons are an easy way of giving your old jars a splash of colour!

It only takes a few moment to update your jars around the home, it really couldn't be simpler!

You will need:

Your chosen jar, two balloons of your colour choice, and a pair of scissors.

Your balloons will need to be the standard, rounded shape, and not the long thin kind - these will not stretch wide enough to fit around your jar.

Take your first balloon, this will be your lid. Blow up the balloon so that it is as large as it can be, then release the air - this stretches out the balloon to make it easier.
Cut your balloon so that you only have the larger top part left.

Stretch your cut balloon over the lid of your jar.
The easiest method is to have the balloon stretched between two hands, position the centre of the balloon onto the centre of the lid, and curl the rest of the balloon around the sides.

Blow up your next balloon, release the air, and cut. This time, you might want to make the cut closer to the air hole, to give you more balloon to work with, as it is covering a larger area.
Turn your jar upside down, and use same technique as the lid to stretch your balloon over the jar. Make sure that your balloon has stretched over to each side of your jar, in order to keep the balloon securely in place.

Your jar is now updated and ready to be filled - you can use this method to colour coordinate buttons, sprinkles, cotton etc. or just as a decoration!

Stay tuned next week for a recipe of carob chip cookies for your dog!
