Decorate Your Pillar Candles With Any Text Or Photographs!

This is a simple way to personalise any candle, any way you like, and only using just a few basic materials!

You will need:

A white candle, one sheet of A4 paper, some white tissue paper, sticky tape, a hair dryer and a printer. If using a coloured candle, your tissue paper must match the colour as closely as possible.

The first thing to do is to create your design on your computer. If using a photograph, make sure that it will wrap around your candle only once when printed.

Stick the edges of your tissue paper to your sheet of A4.
This will allow the tissue paper to pass through your printer without getting jammed.
Place the sheet in the printer tray with the tissue paper side facing down, and print your design.

Remove the tissue paper from the A4 sheet of printing paper, cut out your design and hold it in place on your candle. If using a large design, it may be easier to place a small dab of glue on the candle to hold it in place.

Next, you will need to use the warm setting on your hairdryer and direct the heat towards your design. The candle wax will begin to melt, and you will see your design bonding to the candle.
Try not to overheat your candle as this will warp the surface.

Your design will cool almost immediately, leaving you able to use your candle straight away.
This method is so easy to use, and can inspire a variety of designs, so have fun and get creative!

See you Thursday for handmade paper,
Sian
